American Express is hiring fresh graduates for the role of Analyst – Data Science under its Commercial Data Science & Model Integration team. This opportunity is ideal for aspiring data scientists passionate about working on AI/ML projects, credit risk modeling, and big data analytics.

You will work on:

- Building and enhancing credit and collection models using data science tools

- Using internal and external data (consumer, commercial bureau, etc.) for modeling

- Innovating new AI/ML techniques to drive business impact

- Exploring model interpretability, variable importance, and deployment strategies

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development and enhancement of commercial credit risk models

- Leverage AI/ML techniques to identify business insights

- Analyze customer cases to generate actionable intelligence

- Work closely with data, product, and risk teams to execute models

- Conduct research and experiments in modeling, automation, and data ingestion pipelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field from Tier 1 institutes

- Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and analytics

- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, Hive

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to learn quickly and work independently

- Experience or academic projects related to data science, credit scoring, or predictive analytics
