Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will:

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to design and develop scalable products.

- Build distributed systems, storage solutions, and high-performance computing environments.

- Develop AI/ML-driven predictive models and work with large-scale data.

- Write clean, efficient, and optimized code in Java, Python, C++, or Perl.

- Deliver high-quality software in an Agile development environment.

- Solve complex technical challenges with an emphasis on scalability, security, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Participate in end-to-end product development lifecycle.

- Work on distributed computing and cloud-native systems (AWS, EC2, Lambda, etc.).

- Create scalable, low-cost, and fault-tolerant architectures.

- Optimize algorithms, database queries, and performance at scale.

- Contribute to new features, services, and products for global users.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming (OOP)

- Programming experience in C/C++, Java, Python, or Perl

- Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle ambiguity

- Familiarity with relational databases and distributed systems

- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Previous technical internship(s) in software development

- Experience in optimization mathematics (linear and nonlinear programming)
