Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will work on the design and development of cutting-edge embedded and platform software that powers Qualcomm’s world-class chipsets. You’ll get the opportunity to contribute to real-world projects across multimedia, wireless, connectivity, IoT, and OS-level systems.

Key Areas of Work

- Real-time embedded software development

- Mobile SW development for Android, Linux, or Windows

- Driver development and board support packages

- Multimedia software (Audio/Video Codecs, Imaging)

- Wireless modem software (4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G)

- IoT devices (Smart Cameras, Drones, AR/VR)

- Linux kernel and device driver development

- Application development and UI

- Communication protocol stack development (TCP/IP/SIP/RTP)

- System-level software architecture using C/C++

What You Will Do

- Design, implement, debug and maintain software components

- Collaborate with cross-functional global engineering teams

- Contribute to Qualcomm's proprietary platforms and mobile solutions

- Solve challenging problems using C, C++, and object-oriented design

- Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation

Required Skills

- Proficiency in C / C++ programming

- Strong understanding of OS concepts, Data Structures, and Algorithms

- Knowledge of embedded systems, device drivers, and firmware

- Exposure to Linux/UNIX development environment

- Basic understanding of networking protocols: TCP/UDP/IP

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Ability to collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams
