Job Description

Zoho is hiring Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) who are passionate about automation, cloud infrastructure, system reliability, and large-scale distributed systems. This role provides hands-on exposure to modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, cloud platforms, and monitoring tools.

Roles and Responsibilities

Automation

• Develop and maintain automation tools to reduce manual tasks
• Improve deployment pipelines and system efficiency
• Implement repeatable workflows using scripting and automation frameworks

Infrastructure & Cloud Management

• Support deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud infrastructure
• Monitor performance, optimize resources, and forecast capacity needs
• Ensure high system scalability and availability

Build Deployment & Maintenance

• Assist in deployments across multiple data centres using internal CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain services and ensure 24x7 availability

Performance & Monitoring

• Build and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems
• Proactively identify issues and contribute to root cause analysis

Security & Compliance

• Follow cloud security best practices
• Maintain IAM controls and compliance standards

Incident Handling

• Respond to system alerts and outages
• Participate in RCA and implement preventive measures

Eligibility / Requirements

Experience

• 0–2 years in SRE, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or Cloud Automation

Scripting Skills

• Hands-on experience with Bash, Shell, or Python

Cloud & Networking

• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security fundamentals
• Knowledge of networking commands:
  netstat, ping, traceroute, nc, ssh/scp, wireshark, tcpdump

Programming Knowledge

• Familiarity with C / C++ / Java / Python

CI/CD

• Knowledge of CI/CD concepts or exposure to any pipeline tools

SRE Concepts

• Awareness of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, system reliability principles

Shift Requirement

• Willing to work in rotational shifts (24x7 operations)

Key Skills

• Strong understanding of networking and cloud networking
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and deployments
• Familiarity with Terraform or any Infrastructure-as-Code tool
• Problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced DevOps/SRE environment
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or OCI is an added advantage
