Role Overview – Cloud DevOps Intern

As a Cloud DevOps Intern, you’ll be part of a high-performing global team responsible for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure. You’ll gain exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, and modern DevOps tools while working on real-world challenges that shape AVEVA’s global cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support the deployment and monitoring of AVEVA Cloud Solutions across global regions.
Assist in maintaining and improving DevOps pipelines and automation workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents to optimize uptime.
Participate in Agile/Scrum processes: sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Document and maintain clear operational and deployment procedures.
Collaborate with global development teams to ensure secure, scalable, and repeatable deployments.
Support on-call operations as part of a shared team when required.

Required Qualifications

BE/B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology (aggregate 70% or above, no backlogs).
Strong foundation in software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Basic knowledge of Cloud Computing and DevOps fundamentals.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in a 24x7 global environment.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or VMware.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
Exposure to Linux systems administration and cloud infrastructure management.
Knowledge of Python, Java, or Shell scripting.
Experience using Git for version control.
Understanding of IaaS, cloud security, and infrastructure as code principles.
