Graduate Trainee Role – Cybersecurity & Threat Intelligence
As a Graduate Trainee, you will collaborate with security engineers and threat researchers to strengthen Calix’s network intrusion detection systems and improve threat intelligence processes. This role is ideal for fresh graduates in Cybersecurity, IT, Networking, or Computer Science who are passionate about network security, Python programming, and cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with threat researchers & security engineers to analyze network attacks
- Perform packet-level analysis using Wireshark, Zeek, Suricata, or Snort
- Develop and test detection signatures for IPS/NIDS systems
- Automate analysis and improve research workflows using Python scripts
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering for emerging threats, IoCs, and TTPs
- Create technical documentation, threat reports, and playbooks
- Engage in simulated attack scenarios to validate detection capabilities
- Participate in discussions across the full threat research lifecycle
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: BE / BTech (Computer Science, IT, Networking, or Cybersecurity) – 2024/2025 batch
- Experience: Fresher / Graduate schemes
- Strong knowledge of Computer Networking, TCP/IP, OSI model, and IDS systems
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and malware delivery methods
- Programming skills in Python for automation and small utility development
- Comfortable with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of tools like Wireshark, Suricata, Snort, tcpdump
- Good communication skills, attention to detail, and research aptitude
