What You’ll Work On as a Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer at Founda Health, you will design, build, and optimize scalable and secure cloud infrastructure to support global healthcare data exchange.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to implement a hybrid cloud + on-premise Kubernetes strategy
Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Enhance and maintain internal tools for software delivery and support teams
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and ArgoCD (Pipeline as Code approach)
Improve observability and monitoring with Elastic Cloud APM, Prometheus, and EFK stack
Ensure cloud-native security, scalability, and uptime optimization
Support infrastructure deployments across AWS cloud and SaaS solutions

Infrastructure & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, ArgoCD, Velero
Cloud Providers: AWS, Cloudflare
CI/CD & Automation: GitLab CI/CD, Aikido
Monitoring & Logging: Elastic Cloud APM, Prometheus, EFK stack, BetterUptime
Databases & Queues: PostgreSQL, Redpanda
Networking: VPN

Who You Are

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer with a passion for cloud-native infrastructure and healthcare innovation.

2+ years of production Kubernetes experience
Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud (or any major provider)
Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally Terraform
Experience designing high-performance CI/CD pipelines
Scripting skills (Shell, Python, or Go)
Strong understanding of cloud-native principles & DevOps best practices
Advocate for security-first engineering
Collaborative, curious, and eager to learn in a global team environment
