Role Overview – Junior Software Engineer

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in building, debugging, and scaling systems that form the backbone of Fospha’s global data and analytics platform. You will learn directly from senior engineers while gaining expertise in Python, AWS, DevOps, CI/CD, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Write clean, testable, and scalable Python code
Assist in the design & development of cloud infrastructure and automation scripts
Learn and apply AWS Well-Architected Framework (security, scalability, cost optimization)
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation and system monitoring
Document, troubleshoot, and debug existing systems to improve performance
Collaborate in Agile team environments with Jira, Bitbucket/Git workflows

Required Skills

Hands-on Python programming experience
Strong understanding of AWS Cloud services
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket version control systems
Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools

Good to Have

Hands-on SQL database knowledge
Experience with Terraform / AWS CDK for infrastructure automation
