Job Summary

Standard Chartered Bank is hiring a DevOps Engineer to strengthen its central technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing DevOps infrastructure across AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring the bank’s mission-critical systems are secure, scalable, and compliant.

This is a strategic opportunity for engineers who want to work in enterprise DevOps, SecOps, and Cloud Engineering for a leading global banking and financial services company.

Key Responsibilities

Implement the bank’s DevOps strategy with automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines.
Design and maintain scalable DevOps infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
Align software delivery with compliance, governance, and security standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver solutions in sprint cycles.
Prepare technical documentation, training materials, and onboarding guides.
Provide technical support and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions for application delivery teams.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools, cloud-native technologies, and automation frameworks.

Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of DevOps, SecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Node.js, Python.
Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Helm for automation.
Hands-on expertise in Unix/Linux, Bash, PowerShell scripting.
Skilled in Containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes orchestration.
Knowledge of Monitoring and Observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Proven experience as an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer with exposure to AWS and Azure.
Strong scripting and automation background using Python, Shell, or similar languages.
Experience with cloud security, compliance, and enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.
