Role Overview

We are looking for a Linux Application Support / Software Engineer to join our Technology team.
This is a critical position supporting enterprise-grade financial systems hosted on Linux platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring performance, reliability, automation, and troubleshooting across multiple applications.

Key Responsibilities

Provide application support for enterprise systems hosted on Linux servers.
Monitor and maintain system health and performance for business-critical applications.
Automate workflows and tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python).
Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues, collaborating with development teams.
Perform system updates, patching, and backups to maintain compliance and security.
Manage application configurations, logs, and dependencies.
Maintain and document support processes, troubleshooting guides, and configurations.

Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency in Linux Operating Systems (e.g., Red Hat).
Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python.
Knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (PostgreSQL).
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, firewalls).
Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot application-related issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred (Good to Have):

Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
