Role Overview

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Automate multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines for reliability and speed.
• Strengthen cloud security, compliance, and vulnerability management.
• Build AI-driven operational efficiency tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure & Automation

  • Deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
  • Manage Docker/Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) with Helm for deployments.
  • Implement blue-green, canary, and rolling updates.
  • Automate workflows with Python & Bash scripting.
  • Research & implement AI-driven tools for monitoring and alerting.

• CI/CD & Reliability Engineering

  • Optimize pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
  • Configure monitoring with Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
  • Implement log aggregation & analysis for system optimization.

• Security & Compliance

  • Apply OWASP Top 10 principles in DevOps workflows.
  • Integrate SAST & DAST tools into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Configure WAF, firewalls, and network security policies.
  • Execute vulnerability management (scan, assess, remediate).

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Languages: Python, Bash (basic Java/PHP a plus).
• Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, IAM).
• IaC: Terraform (CloudFormation preferred).
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), Helm.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Version Control: Git (expert branching & workflow).
• Linux/Unix: Strong CLI & admin skills.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Monitoring Tools: Datadog, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor.
• Security Tools: SAST, DAST, WAF, vulnerability scanners.
• Networking: DNS, VPNs, Load Balancers, Firewalls.
• Databases: RDS, Azure SQL, container-based DB deployments.

Experience

• 1–3 years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Proven ability to manage staging/production infra independently.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools/technologies quickly.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Good to have:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
