About the Role
Scrumconnect Limited is hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the migration of applications and services into a new AWS environment. This role requires strong technical expertise, a passion for automation, and the ability to work closely with architects and senior engineers to design and deliver cloud-native solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead application migration to AWS (EKS-focused).
- Collaborate with architects to design and implement migration strategies.
- Build and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and integrate tools like SonarQube.
- Implement automation with Shell/Python scripting.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments with Helm charts across environments.
- Oversee AWS IAM roles, workload identities, and secure service access.
- Handle data migrations between S3, PostgreSQL, and other data stores.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues in containers and Kubernetes clusters.
Required Skills & Expertise
CI/CD & DevOps Tools
- Jenkins pipelines (DSL), SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory
- Git version control, Shell scripting, Python (JSON/YAML handling)
Containers & Kubernetes
- Docker (multi-stage builds, non-root containers)
- Kubernetes (services, ingress, RBAC, Helm, DNS, troubleshooting)
Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, Load Balancers, Route 53, WAF, KMS
- Secure AWS access with IAM roles & workload identities
Databases
- PostgreSQL (pg_dump/pg_restore, RDS troubleshooting, user management)
Web & Security Concepts
- NGINX, reverse proxies, path-based/host-based routing
- TLS/SSL certificates, session handling, RBAC, IAM policies
- Security best practices, OWASP Top 10, WAF configurations
Candidate Expectations
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines & secure AWS integrations.
- Advanced scripting with Bash/Python.
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes lifecycle, Helm design, and access control.
- Expertise in AWS IAM, networking, and cloud cost optimization.
- Solid grasp of TLS lifecycle and trusted CA implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent.
- Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, ITIL, or ISO 20000 frameworks.
