Role Overview

We are seeking a Junior Cloud Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team. This role will focus on supporting and managing cloud-based environments, particularly in AWS. You’ll gain hands-on experience in automation, security compliance, and DevOps best practices, while supporting mission-critical defense projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage access and permissions for AWS resources.
Perform management tasks including IAM role administration and key rotation.
Assist in automation for code deployments and compliance tasks.
Support O&M processes required for agency accreditation.
Write scripts in Bash or Python to automate and streamline operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
1–3 years of experience with cloud operations.
Hands-on experience with AWS services and end-to-end product management.
Knowledge of Kubernetes clusters and orchestration tools (EKS, OpenShift, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud industry best practices.
Proficiency with Linux and Windows OS.
Development/scripting experience in Python or Bash.

Certifications

Required (within 90 days of hire):

CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (or above)

Preferred:

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
AWS Certified Security – Specialty
