About the Role
Service NSW is seeking Junior DevOps Engineers to enhance and optimize our software delivery pipeline. This role drives continuous improvement, automation, observability, and workflow refinement across multiple platforms that impact millions of NSW customers daily.
You will design, implement, and maintain SaaS platforms, observability tools, incident management systems, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security, scalability, and high availability while collaborating across development, product, and security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- SaaS Platform Management: Support lifecycle of platforms including Atlassian Suite, observability tools, and incident management systems.
- Observability: Maintain & enhance Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk ES for system health and compliance.
- Automation & CI/CD: Develop automation for deployment, scaling, and configurations using GitLab, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Integration: Enable seamless collaboration by embedding SaaS tools into DevOps workflows.
- Security: Apply DevSecOps best practices, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Leverage telemetry and alerts to diagnose complex application, container, networking, and infrastructure issues.
- Collaboration: Partner with engineering and product teams to streamline delivery and provide operational support.
What You’ll Need
- Strong understanding of Alerting & Incident Management.
- Hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes (preferred).
- Familiarity with Splunk Observability tools (preferred).
- DevSecOps practices with Git (GitLab preferred).
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines (Terraform knowledge advantageous).
