About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is hiring a Graduate DevOps Engineer to join its Utility Computing (UC) division. This position is ideal for recent graduates passionate about cloud computing, AWS DevOps, automation, CI/CD pipelines, Linux administration, and networking. You will contribute to delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions, driving digital transformation across industries.

This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure management, AWS services, and enterprise-level automation while working with cutting-edge technologies like Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, and Terraform.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor & Optimize: Proactively resolve issues, monitor dashboards, and analyze key metrics.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in 24/7 rotation to troubleshoot high-priority incidents.
  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex Linux and networking issues.
  • Automation & CI/CD: Develop automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl to streamline operations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & runbooks.
  • Cloud Security & Compliance: Contribute to building secure cloud infrastructure that meets enterprise standards.
  • Innovation: Propose and implement new solutions for DevOps scalability and cloud automation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Hands-on Linux system administration experience.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, HTTP).
  • Strong skills in automation scripting (Bash, Python, Perl).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Experience in a production environment.
