Apprenticeship Overview

The IT Infrastructure & DevOps Apprenticeship Program at Synopsys is designed for aspiring engineers to gain hands-on industry experience in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and DevOps practices.

As an apprentice, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable IT infrastructure to support build, release, and testing environments.
  • Setup and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, or equivalent tools.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance using modern scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to streamline DevOps workflows.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve infrastructure systems to ensure high availability and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (2025 batch).
  • Proficiency in IT infrastructure engineering, DevOps practices, or related roles.
  • Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, or similar.
  • Strong skills in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, Makefiles, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

  • Knowledge of C/C++, compilers, static/dynamic code checking.
  • Exposure to distributed storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Team player with collaborative and innovative mindset.
