About the Role
CGI is hiring Python Developers (Freshers) to join our Software Development team in Bangalore. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates in Computer Science, BCA, or IT who want to build a career in software engineering, Python development, and cloud-based applications.
The role involves working on real-world projects, contributing to end-to-end development, and collaborating with senior engineers in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Write clean, efficient, and scalable Python code
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications
- Debug and troubleshoot production-level issues
- Participate in code reviews, sprints, and Agile ceremonies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and DevOps
- Stay updated with latest technologies, frameworks, and coding practices
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Python programming and standard libraries (os, sys, datetime, etc.)
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub or other version control systems
- Basic exposure to web frameworks (Flask, Django preferred)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc (Computer Science), BCA, or related degree (3-year program)
- Batch: 2023 / 2024 pass-outs only
- Academics: Minimum 60% throughout academics
