About the Role

As a Software Engineer at IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), you will be involved in the end-to-end product lifecycle including:

Design, Development, Testing, and Support of core IBM Systems technologies.

Working on Operating Systems, Firmware, Cloud Software, Storage Software & AI-powered Systems.

Collaborating with global product management and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade IT infrastructure solutions.

This role is ideal for freshers passionate about coding, cloud technologies, and AI-driven systems.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in software development lifecycle (SDLC): design, coding, testing, deployment.

Work on Cloud, AI, Storage Systems, Virtualization & Operating Systems.

Collaborate in Agile & DevOps-based projects for faster product delivery.

Develop test automation frameworks and handle bug fixing & performance tuning.

Contribute to open-source projects and IBM hybrid cloud solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise

Programming: C, C++, Python, GoLang, Java, Shell Scripting, Ansible

Cloud & Container Technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, Virtualization

Operating Systems: Linux, Unix, Windows

Concepts: REST APIs, Microservices, DevOps (CI/CD), Security, Reliability & Performance Engineering

AI & Data Science (Preferred): Machine Learning (ML), Deep Learning (DL), NLP, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jupyter Notebooks

Preferred Additional Skills

UI Development with ReactJS

Database Knowledge: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis

Exposure to Cloud Storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage)

Familiarity with backup & recovery tools, RAID levels, and file systems

Hands-on experience with GitHub & Open-Source tools
