Role Overview As a Software Engineer I, you will help design, build, test, and maintain web applications and backend services that streamline consulting workflows and integrate with Workday. You will collaborate with product managers and internal stakeholders, contribute to architecture and code reviews, participate in Agile ceremonies, and ship reliable, scalable features in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development: Build performant web apps and services that improve data workflows and operational efficiency.

Data Engineering & Integrations: Implement scalable pipelines for data extraction, transformation, comparison, and integration with Workday.

API Engineering: Develop and consume REST/GraphQL/SOAP services with robust testing and documentation.

Quality & Reliability: Write unit/integration tests, perform code reviews, and advocate best practices for maintainability and security.

Cloud & DevOps Collaboration: Partner with DevOps to optimize deployments, observability, and cost in AWS.

SDLC Participation: Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives; continuously improve team processes.

Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and deliver sustainable fixes and performance gains.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate business requirements into technical designs and deliverables with clear communication.

Core Technologies Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring, React, Postgres, Redis, AWS (plus exposure to modern CI/CD, containers, and caching).

Qualifications

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (Java, Python, or C++).

Experience with JavaScript in a modern framework (React preferred; Vue/Angular a plus).

Proficiency in API design and integration (REST/GraphQL/SOAP).

Strong background with SQL and relational databases (Postgres/MySQL).

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).

Familiarity with in-memory caching (Redis/Memcached).

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Excellent verbal and written communication; demonstrated cross-functional collaboration.

Self-starter mindset with ownership, curiosity, and bias for action.
