Role Summary
We are seeking a Junior Business Intelligence Developer to join our fast-growing Information Technology division. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates or early-career professionals with a passion for data analytics, BI reporting, and dashboard development. You will work closely with senior developers, business analysts, and data specialists to create interactive Power BI dashboards, accurate reports, and insightful data visualizations that drive key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for internal business units.
- Utilize Power Query and DAX for advanced data transformation and calculations.
- Validate and verify data accuracy to ensure reliable reporting outputs.
- Support data analysis requests and prepare one-off reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members during Agile sprints and project meetings.
- Assist with report testing, troubleshooting, and incorporating user feedback.
- Document development processes and maintain adherence to company BI standards.
- Participate in continuous learning programs to improve technical BI skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Exposure to Power BI (academic projects, internships, or prior work experience).
- Basic understanding of data visualization concepts and reporting techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL, Power Query, and DAX.
- Awareness of relational database concepts (RDBMS) and data storage principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with other Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages for data manipulation.
- Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
