Position Overview
Swiggy is seeking enthusiastic and talented Associate Software Development Engineers (aSDEs) to join our fast-paced engineering team. This role is ideal for freshers or professionals with up to 2 years of experience who are eager to dive into large-scale backend system development and grow their career with modern technologies.

As an aSDE, you will contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing scalable backend services using Java, Go, and various cloud-native technologies like Elasticache, Elasticsearch, Kafka, SQS, and DynamoDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java and Go
• Work with cloud technologies such as AWS, Elasticache, Elasticsearch, Kafka, SQS, and DynamoDB
• Participate in design and architecture discussions for new and existing systems
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and ensure application performance
• Engage in regular code reviews to maintain quality and align with industry best practices
• Demonstrate ownership in development, testing, deployment, and support processes

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech graduates from 2024 or 2025 batches with Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degrees
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Go
• Familiarity with backend concepts, REST APIs, and microservices
• Understanding of database fundamentals and data modeling
• Eagerness to work with cloud services and backend tools like Elasticache, Kafka, and SQS
• Good grasp of Git or any version control system
• Passion for building robust software and continuously learning new technologies
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills

• Languages: Java, Go

• Messaging & Streaming: Kafka, SQS
