Position Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to be a software engineer in a high-growth startup. You’ll be part of the Cloud Cost Management team, responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, scalable software that has a direct impact on the product experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain critical software in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment
- Author functional specifications and design documents
- Understand complex systems/code and own significant pieces of it
- Design and implement scalable algorithms
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in distributed computing environments
- Perform peer reviews of specifications, designs, and code
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineers and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production performance issues
Technologies:
- Java, Golang, Python
- Docker, Kubernetes
- MongoDB, TimescaleDB
- GCP: Stackdriver, GCS, Cloud Composer, AI Platform
About You
- 0–2 years of experience developing scalable, distributed applications using Java or similar languages
- Understanding of how resilient, distributed software is built and deployed
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Comfortable with agile and iterative development cycles
- Entrepreneurial spirit and bias for execution
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
