Join Akamai’s Global Service Engineering (GSE) team as a Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer, where your code will contribute to mission-critical systems and improve productivity across global services.
You will build scalable distributed systems using open-source technologies and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of tools that simplify engineering tasks and customer support operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features from concept through deployment
- Build scalable and distributed applications across systems
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams to design platform-wide solutions
- Create and execute regression test plans alongside QA teams
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across services
- Become a subject matter expert on key systems and technologies
- Document technical features and participate in code reviews
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 6 to 18 months of hands-on experience in software development
- Proficiency in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript
- Experience with ReactJS, Angular, or similar front-end frameworks
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes
- Interest or experience with Ansible, Terraform, or infrastructure automation tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
