Role Overview
This is an entry-level engineering position focused on embedded systems, cloud-edge applications, and software utility development. You will work with cross-functional teams including hardware, system architecture, and QA to design and deliver high-performance software products.
You’ll be responsible for implementing and testing software features, analyzing requirements, and contributing to software development processes and documentation. The role is ideal for recent graduates looking to kick-start a career in system-level software engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, modifying, and validating embedded and cloud-edge software
- Analyze software requirements and assist in translating them into functional designs
- Implement and test small software modules for Qualcomm’s hardware and software systems
- Participate in code reviews, integration efforts, and debugging of minor software issues
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and system teams to align development goals
- Support performance and regression testing cycles
- Document technical procedures and software components as part of project deliverables
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong academic foundation in computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Exposure to embedded systems and/or cloud-edge computing is a plus
- Ability to work under supervision in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Level of Responsibility
- Works under close supervision of senior engineers
- Tasks require prioritization, basic planning, and problem-solving
- Decision-making limited to assigned area of responsibility
- Expected to follow standard engineering practices and internal processes
