Job Role: DevOps Engineer Intern
Job Type: Internship (Work-from-home or Hybrid — subject to team preference)
Experience: Freshers (0–1 Year)
Batch: 2022 / 2023 / 2024
Location: India (Remote or Chennai preferred)
Salary / Stipend: To be discussed during selection (may include a performance-based stipend)
Job Summary:
Are you curious about building, deploying, and scaling modern cloud applications? Do you want to learn how real-world DevOps teams operate in a production-grade environment? EduDiagno is looking for DevOps Interns who are enthusiastic about cloud computing, automation, and continuous delivery.
In this role, you will assist with infrastructure automation, containerization, CI/CD pipeline management, and support production deployment workflows. It’s the ideal launchpad for candidates looking to explore careers as Cloud Engineers, DevOps Engineers, or Site Reliability Engineers (SREs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to support cloud deployments
- Set up and manage basic CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines)
- Learn how to work with Docker containers for real-world applications
- Assist in configuring Linux environments for web applications
- Gain exposure to AWS or GCP services in sandbox or staging environments
- Troubleshoot build/deployment failures with guidance from mentors
- Monitor logs, build reports, and improve system visibility
- Document deployment practices and automation scripts
- Write basic shell or Python scripts to support automation tasks
- Take ownership of small project modules and contribute to internal DevOps documentation
Minimum Requirements:
- Basic understanding of DevOps lifecycle and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP preferred)
- Familiarity with Git and Git-based version control workflows
- Exposure to Docker, CI/CD tools, and Linux-based systems
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug basic issues in builds or shell scripts
- Self-motivated and able to manage work under remote supervision
Preferred Skills (Bonus but not mandatory):
- Experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Exposure to container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (even via coursework or labs)
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.)
- Interest in open-source DevOps tools and security best practices
