Job Summary
Airpay is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented DevOps Engineer (Fresher) to join the Night Shift Monitoring Team. This role focuses on real-time system monitoring, proactive incident escalation, and supporting the health and uptime of critical production infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor servers, networks, and applications using tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, Prometheus, and CloudWatch
- Respond promptly to alerts, escalate incidents, and log all actions
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident resolution and escalation
- Perform basic troubleshooting of systems during outages
- Coordinate with development and infrastructure teams during incidents
- Maintain incident logs and generate system health reports
- Ensure consistent monitoring coverage during night shift
- Participate in shift handovers and knowledge transfers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Skills & Experience
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix commands and system administration
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Zabbix
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic scripting knowledge in Shell or Python (advantageous)
- Willingness to work night shifts (with one rotational weekly off)
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and follow structured escalation procedures
